Bring your QuickBooks history

Export your reports from QuickBooks Online, upload them on QuickBooks import, match your accounts, and Columnwell checks the totals tie out before anything is posted.

Steps

1. In QuickBooks Online, export the reports the QuickBooks import page lists (it has step-by-step export help and a date range tip).
2. Open QuickBooks import in Columnwell and upload the ZIP or XLSX files.
3. Match each QuickBooks account to an account in your Columnwell chart of accounts.
4. Check the tie-out: Columnwell compares its totals with your QuickBooks trial balance and shows any difference.
5. Post the history. Reports include it from then on.

Good to know

• Nothing changes in your books until you post. Uploading only reads the files.
• If Columnwell can't read a file's layout yet, the page says so and lets you share the file so support for it can be added.
